Personal Journey & Philosophy
I started my career as a generalist outpatient pediatric speech-language pathologist, but I quickly discovered a gap in the system. I saw parents of kids with ADHD working so hard to stay afloat, yet they were being buried in guilt over missed sessions and forgotten homework. It clicked for me because I understood exactly how their brains worked... I have ADHD too. I was in a similar place: drowning in paperwork, too overwhelmed to try much, being told to try everything. I remember desperately hoping I was dehydrated, because drinking more water was just about all I could imagine consistently changing! (Spoiler: I was, but more water didn't get the paperwork done, sadly!)
When I began specializing in executive functioning, everything changed. We made fantastic gains and kids graduated quickly because I finally started strategizing with the parents on how to make life easier at home. I realized my favorite part of the job wasn't just the clinical work—it was the coaching and connection with fellow ADHD adults.
For years, I tried to fit into workplaces using every tool imaginable—planners, Pomodoro method, even hypnosis! —but nothing stuck until I received ADHD coaching. That experience allowed me to actually start enjoying my life instead of seeing my time as a series of problems to be solved, because I was able to make the necessary changes to stop working against my brain.
It's my absolute favorite thing to do talk about, and my favorite thing to do. Now, I want to offer that same grounded, guilt-free support to as many women as I can. You deserve to enjoy your life. You shouldn't have to struggle all day, every day. We can make things work.
